VETERAN TRIAL ATTORNEY WILL BRING EXPERIENCE TO LA COURTS

Veteran trial attorney and mediator Tom Parsekian  announces run for Los Angeles County Superior Court seat #150

Los Angeles, CA – Announcing his run for Los Angeles County Superior Court seat #150 among a group of enthusiastic supporters, Tom Parsekian talked about his inspiration, “I watched my father serve as a Judge when I was young.  He taught me not only the value of public service, but its importance to every aspect of our society.” Parsekian continued, “my father was a highly decorated World War II combat veteran, respected trial attorney, judge, and state senator in New Jersey.  He told me to ‘always find time in your life for public service,’ and that is what I plan to do.”

On November 25, Parsekian filed to run for seat #150 of the Los Angeles Superior Court.  He has already earned the outstanding endorsements of California State Treasurer Fiona Ma, L.A. City Councilmembers Paul Koretz and Paul Krekorian, Presiding Judge of Los Angeles County Superior Court Kevin C. Brazile, Assistant Supervising Judge of the Los Angeles County Superior Court Ruth Ann Kwan, Los Angeles Superior Court Judge of the Criminal Justice District Mark V. Mooney, Los Angeles Superior Court Judges Maria Lucy Armendariz and Jon Takasugi, South Pasadena Mayor Marina Khubesrian, Lancaster Mayor R. Rex Parris, among others.

Parsekian added, “I can think of no better way to serve my community than as a judge guaranteeing integrity and fairness in our court system.  Everyone deserves justice no matter their background or circumstance.”

After months of building the campaign structure, Parsekian is well underway to meeting his campaign’s fundraising goal with the help of Christina Kegeyan-Pappas and her staff.  The rest of the experienced campaign team, which includes veteran judicial campaign consultants David Gould and Carlos Leon, is actively working on voter outreach.

A graduate of Rutgers University School of Law-Newark with an undergraduate degree from Columbia University in New York, along with undergraduate studies at both Harvard University and Oxford University, England, Parsekian has had the privilege of successfully arguing cases on behalf of his clients before the United States District Courts, California state and U.S. Courts of Appeal, and is a member of the bar of the United States Supreme Court.

Specializing in Complex Litigation, Parsekian has been instrumental in defending his clients in order to protect their rights as business and home owners.  Complex Litigation cases, which typically involve multiple parties and complex issues, require the facility to bring disparate interests together to find common ground and ultimately resolution.  Parsekian has been extraordinarily successful in reaching favorable results for his clients through both bench and jury trials.
